ISOLATION AND LOCKDOWN EXERCISES
How to stay fit during lockdown – Stripper style.
Lockdown, Isolation, Quarantine – whatever one you are in, keeping fit is going to be a challenge without the trusty gym. Exercise at the best of times can be tough, but now with most of us stuck at home indoors, we’re having to get creative with how we keep physically and mentally active. So, we asked our guys to see what they are doing to keep things tight and toned and, in some cases, tanned during the global pandemic. Let’s start..
1. BODY ROLLS
This is a quick, sexy, feel good movement you can implement into any fitness routine. Whether you’re doing circuit training, dancing or just having some fun while getting the blood pumping, this is a move our strippers enjoy too! Magic Men Angelo recommends body rolls to strengthening your core, core control, and it looks good in the mirror.
2. PUSH UPS
This is a go-to movement for all our Magic Men and a perfect exercise to help with those on-stage lifts! Whether it’s part of their at home daily regime, gym routine or to get a quick pump before hitting the stage, push ups are beneficial for those big defined shoulders (which we all love) and building upper body strength. Magic Men Nathan Wyld recommends push ups as an equipment free exercise to help define the triceps and pectoral muscles…they’re also great for picking up chicks.
It’s time to grab the rope! No, not the bondage kind, your childhood skipping in the playground kind of fun. If you’re looking for a full body exercise to incorporate into your routine, then this is your solution. Improve your coordination, focus and stamina with a cheeky skipping session. Why not make this cardio fun and try it with someone! Magic Men Carlos recommends skipping as a fun and inexpensive way to get your cardio fix. He also believes its good practice for chasing people that try and steal your clothes!
4. BICEP CURL WITH RESISTANCE BAND
This one is tricky, and not for the faint of heart. For this exercise you’re going to need 1 x long shafted pole, for example a Broom, Mop, or a Golf Club; anything long, hard and sturdy will work. You will also need a resistance band of your choice. To start, you’re going to ground the resistance band with your feet shoulder length apart by standing on the band. Pulling the band up in a triangular formation, you’re going to loop your pole through the top of the band. Hold onto each side of the pole, hands facing up shoulder width apart and tuck your elbows in tight. Slowly curl your hands towards your shoulders and hold for 1 second and release. Repeat this 10 times for a minimum of 3 sets. Magic Men Will recommends this exercise for definition and strength in your upper arms and is also great to train for tearing off pants quickly.
